Best Water Hack
As the U.S. continues to experience episodes of severe drought and/or storm events, water leaders are seeking innovative solutions to encourage public participation in solving the dual problems of keeping water clean and available, when there is too little water (drought) and too much water (storm event).
During a drought, customers need to conserve water; while during a storm event customers may need to avoid flooded areas, stay at home, or turn off their sprinklers. These are just a few ideas – you will have many more!
What tools can you build to help encourage public participation in times of severe weather? What else will customers need to know during these events? How will these tools connect weather data, the water supplier data, and water customer data? How will the public receive this information?”
